The tragedy of Novi Sad, Vucic seeks a “lifeline”

The strategy to save Aleksandar Vučić, the president of Serbia and his Serbian Progressive Party from the pressure of responsibility for the death of 14 people due to the collapse of the tent in Novi Sad is to create despair, which is helped by a weak opposition and oblivion. changing the subject, replacing the thesis, fading it into meaninglessness. However, it is to be expected that there will be a change, and experience teaches us that these changes will go under the radar, there will be “sneaks”, while those who come out publicly will be held accountable, just to take a position new in a few years, say the interviewees of “Dana”, anticipating the next steps of the government to overcome the very unpleasant situation in which it found itself.

A week after the tragedy at the train station, SNS will hold a session of the Presidency and the Main Board on Monday afternoon, where, as announced by the chairman of the Progressive Party and the Prime Minister, Milosh Vucevic, they will discuss political issues and responsibilities, because the minister’s resignation is not enough of the line and SNS official, Goran Vesič.

With the meeting of the party bodies, Vucic is trying to emphasize the importance of this tragedy for him and for the party. Therefore, the opposition demands the resignation of the prime minister and the mayor of Novi Sad, Milan Gjuric, the arrest of those directly responsible for the failures in the reconstruction of the Railway Station, as well as the disclosure of secret contracts with Chinese companies. Dragan Šormaz, founder of the Euro-Atlantic Council of Serbia and former member of the SNS, when it comes to resignations and who will be sacrificed, emphasizes that Vučević will not do it.
