Huawei is expected to unveil the Watch GT 6 and Watch Ultimate 2 series this week, and recent leaks have revealed details about their design and specifications. One of the new models is expected to continue the tradition of last year’s Huawei Watch Ultimate by offering a durable case for diving.
Most smartwatches have 5ATM certification, which allows for diving up to 50 meters, while the previous Watch Ultimate was the first from Huawei with 10ATM certification, for diving up to 100 meters.
The model is also expected to feature a larger battery, new sensors on the right side of the case, and other hardware and software improvements, including advanced health tracking and exercise monitoring. The watches will come in two colors: black and blue, with a diameter of 48.5mm. It remains to be seen whether the Watch Ultimate 2 will retain these diving capabilities and whether the Watch GT 6 series will also have more water-resistant cases.
