Reasons why Kamala Harris will win on November 5th

By New York Times

The American Democratic analyst, James Carville, is convinced that Kamala Harris will be the next president of the USA and Donald Trump will lose again. His prediction for the election does not come from any bias, he says, but has argued first that the Republican Party has been on a losing streak since Trump took office. Among other things, he also focused on the income and funding that the two candidates received during the campaign, saying that Harris has collected millions of dollars. “Harris will be elected the next president of the United States. Of that I am sure,” wrote James Carville for the NYT.

CARVILLE’S ARGUMENTS IN THE NYT

The main reason Donald Trump will lose the election is that the entire Republican Party has suffered numerous losses since the American billionaire took power. Now abortion is again one of the issues dominating the pre-election agenda. For that matter, Trump has lost many voters, even in swing states that will play a decisive role in the outcome of the November vote. He hasn’t learned from his election losses or done the work necessary to rally his party in 2024. Let’s not forget that seven weeks after former US Ambassador to the United Nations Nikki Haley dropped out of the election Republican primary, she received 158,000 votes in Pennsylvania. and some of her disaffected voters are now considering supporting the outgoing Democratic vice president.

If Nikki Haley had supported Trump, things would have been different. To add to that, most voters believe Trump is too old to be president, and instead of appeasing them, he’s spending the final days of his campaign canceling multiple interviews. On the other hand, in just three months, Kamala Harris managed to unite a divided party. From Alexandria Ocazio Cortez to Liz and Dick Cheney, she was able to create a party with broad appeal, something we’ve never seen before in modern political history. Money matters, and Ms. Harris has plenty.

Money matters in politics. Since entering the race, the outgoing US vice president has raised a billion dollars, and in the last quarter one of her fundraising committees put into her coffers $633 million, more than Trump raised with two committees combined. All that money not only effectively offsets the influx of money poured into Trump’s name by several tech billionaires, but it also gave Harris the resources he needed to woo voters with surprise ads.

IT’S JUST A FEELING

My last words are 100% emotional. We are constantly told that America is deeply divided, that it is plagued by racial discrimination, and that this is the real stake of the election. However, this is by no means the case. The vast majority of Americans are reasonable people of good will. I refuse to believe that the same country that has repeatedly overcome its mistakes to lead its future to justice will make the same mistake twice. America outlasted Trump in 2020. I’m sure we know we’re better than that. Now, I don’t mean that my prediction of a win for Harris will lead to complacency. We still have critical days until the election.

I say all this because we are a party that moves a thousand times stronger than another that marches in terror. For the past decade, the former US president has infected American political life.

On January 6, 2021, our very democracy almost succumbed to it. But Donald Trump has made it clear that this will be the last time he runs for president. Which is exactly why we should be excited for what comes next, the American billionaire has already been defeated. And he will lose again. And there will most likely be no one else who can worthily replace him, certainly not his running mate, James D. Vance. In two weeks, we not only have the opportunity to endorse Kamala, but also to put a definitive end to Donald Trump’s miserable career of leading the Republican Party into an extended recession.
