An increasingly dark news comes from Ukraine, which has just passed the tragic historical moment of 1000 days since the beginning of the Russian military aggression. The Eastern European country is bracing for new serious attacks that have forced the closure of several embassies in Kiev, including the Italian one, even if the news of a massive raid has been denied, while Moscow is said to be ready to move thousands of soldiers to the north, including ten thousand North Koreans.
Against the backdrop of this worrying scenario, the possibility of signing an agreement to end the war, supported by America and President-elect Donald Trump, is emerging, which, according to some observers, would entail serious territorial concessions for Ukraine. A prospect which, according to Anthony Glees, a security and intelligence expert at the University of Buckingham, would not prevent Russian President Vladimir Putin from continuing to draw up plans to eliminate his Ukrainian counterpart Volodymyr Zelensky.
ELIMINATING ZELENSKY

From the first hours of the “special military operation”, Moscow has aimed to kill the Ukrainian president and behead his government in order to establish a puppet regime in the country. A few months ago, two colonels who were part of the state administration responsible for protecting the president’s security were arrested, who on behalf of the Russians were planning to take Zelensky hostage while he was on his way to record his traditional evening video message and then proceed with his execution.
6 ASSASSINATION ATTEMPTS
There would have been “no less” than five or six assassination attempts against the Ukrainian president, which he himself revealed last November in an interview with “The Sun”. Zelensky claimed that he even knew the code name of one of the operations aimed at overthrowing his government – Maidan 3, which was planned to take place by the end of 2023. The reference is to a post on X in which the billionaire’s son wrote that “the military-industrial complex seems to want a Third World War before my father has a chance to make peace and save lives.”
NUCLEAR DOCTRINE
In recent hours, the Kremlin has announced an update to its nuclear doctrine. It foresees nuclear retaliation even in the case of attacks launched with conventional weapons against Russian or Belarusian territory that represent a critical threat to Moscow’s sovereignty. Russian Foreign Minister Sergei Lavrov also announced that the green light for strikes against Russia carried out with American weapons opens a “new phase” of the conflict.
The newly adopted doctrine states that Russia can use nuclear deterrence to deter aggression by hostile nations and military alliances that possess weapons of mass destruction or significant conventional weapons, as reported by RT. The document, sanctioned by the Russian president, further stipulates that an attack by a single member of an alliance, even one without nuclear weapons, will be treated as an attack by the entire group. Dmitry Medvedev warned that such a scenario could escalate into World War III.
