The Pristina Court has fined the acting Prime Minister, Albin Kurti, 250 euros for failing to appear before the Special Prosecution Office (SPRK) to testify regarding the state reserves case.
The Pristina Court on 04.03.2025 issued an order for Kurti to appear before the Prosecutor’s Office and testify in this case.
Despite having an order from the Pristina Court, Kurti again failed to appear. On the same day, the Prime Minister chose to go on a working visit to Gjilan to inaugurate the foundation stone of a kindergarten.
Following this action by the country’s prime minister, the Pristina Court, as KALLXO.com learns, has fined him 250 euros.
An appeal against the fine was filed with the office of the Prime Minister, Albin Kurti, on 13.03.2025.
KALLXO.com had sent an email to the Pristina Court to understand what action was taken by the Court regarding the witness’s failure to appear to testify at the Special Prosecution Office, but had never received a response until the publication of this news.
KALLXO.com had sent a total of five e-mails to the court, but was unsuccessful in receiving responses.
Questions regarding this case were also sent to the Government Spokesperson, Përparim Kryeziu, on 01.04.2025, but he has not responded regarding this case.
Although he had been called to testify three times by the Prosecution, which had resulted in no success for the prosecution – without a solution to convince Prime Minister Kurti to give evidence in the case of state reserves in the Special Prosecution’s facilities – the Prosecution then turned to the Court.
The Prosecution had requested the Court to issue a Decision ordering the witness, Albin Kurti, to appear at the Special Prosecution’s premises to give testimony – regarding the state reserves case.
This request from the SPRK came after the country’s Prime Minister, Albin Kurti, had not responded to three consecutive calls.
