Kaja Kallas begins Balkan tour: Kosovo-Serbia dialogue, necessary to move forward

The head of diplomacy of the European Union, also Vice-President of the European Commission, Kaja Kallas, will be on a visit to the Balkans, and will be in Kosovo on Thursday afternoon.

The press release of the European Union Office in Kosovo states that Kallas will meet with representatives of political parties and civil society organizations.

It has also been announced that Kallas will visit the European Union Rule of Law Mission in Kosovo (EULEX) and will meet with the Commander of KFOR, Major General Enrico Barduani.

Kallas will also hold a press conference on Thursday at 15:45 p.m.

The EU’s chief diplomat, before her visit to the Balkans, also wrote on the X platform.

“I will visit Serbia, Kosovo and North Macedonia in the next two days and engage with governments and civil society on their path towards the EU. The Belgrade-Pristina dialogue is a necessity to move forward. Now is the time to re-engage,” she said last night.
