Building Bridges for International Cooperation: TechnoLogic Bridge Warsaw Brings Together Innovators from Poland and Ukraine

Warsaw, Poland (March 28, 2025) — TechnoLogic Bridge, a conference co-organized by the We Are Innovation (WAI) global network, Students For Liberty Poland (SFL Polska), Warsaw Enterprise Institute (WEI) and Forum Obywatelskiego Rozwoju (FOR) is bringing together Warsaw innovators, business owners and policymakers.

TechnoLogic Bridge is built around three pressing questions: How does migration reshape economies? What does AI mean for entrepreneurship? And how can business cooperation between Poland and Ukraine grow stronger in today’s geopolitical landscape?

Poland is becoming hub for global talent, a home for foreign startups, and a model of resilience. Migration fuels this momentum. It brings skilled workers, strengthens industries, and expands the business ecosystem. A recent study by the Forum for Responsible Development found that without immigration after 2014, Poland’s GDP in 2023 would have been 2.3% lower. By 2050, migration is expected to boost GDP by 12.5%. The takeaway? Growth isn’t happening despite migration — it’s happening because of it.

In the last years, which is majorly defined by the migration waves, Poland has become the hub for foreign startups and global talent.

With neighboring Ukraine in a context of war, cooperation, and knowledge exchange have become crucial for both countries. Over the past three years, Ukrainians have registered 77.7 thousand individual entrepreneurs in Poland, corresponding to 9% of all registered enterprises during this period. In 2022-2024, the number of Ukrainian enterprises grew annually by an average of 34%. Such an increase demonstrates the activity and adaptability of Ukrainians, as well as underlines structural changes in the Polish labor market. In contrast, as of February 2024, only 3,635 Polish companies were registered in the Ukrainian business space.

The numbers speak for themselves: migration has a positive impact, facilitating the growth of the business ecosystem. According to a study by the Forum for Responsible Development, without immigration after 2014, Poland’s GDP in 2023 would have been 2.3% lower. In the long term, migration is expected to increase GDP by 12.5% by 2050.

TechnoLogic Bridge will discuss the cause-and-effect relationships, pitfalls, and new business opportunities caused by the migration wave. It will also include issues of new technologies, in particular, the rapid development of AI and the new horizons it’s bringing.

Here is the spotlight of the of the topics. Big questions, global speakers:

  • “From Borders to Business: The Migration Effect”, featuring Mariya Nebozhenko(Head of Center at Diia.Business Warsaw and Founder & CEO of Empowerment Foundation), Peter Strupp (Founder of Summit Prospect and ex-CEO of Intersource) and Piotr Oliński (Legal Analyst at FOR). Moderated by Błażej Szkudlarek (Students For Liberty Poland).
  • “Building Bridges: The Polish-Ukrainian Business Dialogue”, having Vladyslav Ivanov (Vice President of the Polish-Ukrainian Chamber of Commerce) and Łukasz Wawak(Manager of the Polish-Ukrainian Startup Bridge) joined. Moderated by Tania Rak (We Are Innovation).
  • “The New Frontier: Entrepreneurship and Business in the AI Age”, with Nafis Faysal(AI Entrepreneur, Founder of Headshotly.ai, Vosu.ai and TalkGPT.app), Ahmad Piraiee (Venture Builder and Director of Startup Grind Poland), Igor Lyubashenko (Social researcher,  AI strategy consultant, and Associate Professor at the SWPS University) and Natalia Nogacka (Managing Partner at Bootstrappie.ai). Moderated by Jakub Bilski (Students For Liberty Poland).

It is not without reason that the name of the event is “Technologic Bridge” —  it contains the idea of building a bridge on the path to discussions, international cooperation, technology adoption, and innovative development of the region, having the potential to scale to further, bigger editions.
