That’s because Bezos has the final say in who the next 007 agent will be. He asked his followers after his company took control of the exclusive rights to the famous spy movie. And in this way, Daniel Craig’s replacement will be decided by Amazon MGM Studios and will most likely be their biggest decision. But do you want to know who the favorites are for the role?
Most people on social media have mentioned Henry Cavill’s name. He played the role of Superman, but has previously said that he wants to play the role of Bond. Other names most mentioned are Tom Hardy, Aaron Taylor-Johnson and Idris Elba. 34-year-old Taylor Johnson is known for his roles in Kick-ass and Kraven the Hunter. There have been rumors that he was offered the role, but nothing has been publicly announced.
Mark O’Connell, author of the documentary Catching Bullets: Memoirs of a Bond Fan, told the BBC that he thinks that whatever decision is made, Amazon will go for a younger actor and that he hopes it will be British. But the possibility that he is not British is not excluded because in the past the role of Bond has been played by Australian George Lazenby and Irishman Pierce Brosnan.
